THE JOY CLEANSE

One week to get out of the dumps

 

RULE NUMBER ONE | BE KIND TO YOURSELF ALWAYS

Welcome to your JOY cleanse, a one week commitment to help you raise your vibration and tap into your source of happiness and joy. You may be familiar with the phrase “fake it until you become it.” The idea behind this cleanse is to “fake it until you become it, joyful.” 

The following guidelines are to be followed strictly and with determination and effort. If you get discouraged, remind yourself that this is one week, 7 days… one day at a time. 

If you are really down in energy, please feel free to continue this for a second week or determine the time frame that works for you, not to exceed 2 weeks and nothing below one week. 

Here is a list of items you will need to start this cleanse: 

  • Yellow flowers (change water daily)

  • Yellow candle (lemon scent preferred) 

  • Yellow decor (sheets, sculptures, etc. -- surround yourself in yellow)

  • New PJ’s 

  • Sweet orange essential oil 

  • Epsom salt (for bath)

  • Omega 3s (3000 mg)

  • Special elixirs lotion (we recommend Ellister’s Ellixirs)

  • Bracelet that symbolizes your guides (spirits, God, past loved ones, etc.) 

  • Suggested books: Discovering Your Soul Signature,  May Cause Miracles

…. The color yellow is connected to our third chakra (energetic center), our Solar Plexus or in Sanskrit, Manipura - “lustrous gem” which is our center of willpower, action, decision making and drive. Focusing on this color will activate your 3rd chakra and help to raise your energy. When there’s a will, there’s a way. If one is lacking willpower, energy will be low. The goal is to raise the energy to higher levels. 

LET YOUR JOY RISE TO THE SURFACE

YOU ARE READY! 

Congratulations on choosing to work on tapping into your joyful self. Enjoy your week!

  • CREATE ROUTINE

    • Be awake from 7:00a - 11:00p, get a full 8 hours of sleep 

    • Create a night time routine of peace and joy

      • Get in your comfy PJ’s and pamper yourself

      • Listen to a guided meditation (suggested - Oprah, “getting unstuck”)

      • Tibetan Prayer (attached) 

      • Mantras (attached)

  • FEEL 

    • No writing down feelings

    • Engage all of your senses daily 

      • Ideas: touch the grass, feel your hair, taste foods that make you feel good, smell your lemon candle, smell the flowers, etc. 

      • Eat decadent foods that you love 3X per week (chocolate, strawberries, etc.) -- overall, only put things in your mouth that make you feel good. 

  • BE ACTIVE  // SOCIAL

    • Saturate yourself with friends: find things to do, go out, limit romantic attachments of any kind (anything that makes you anxious, no one steals your week)

    • Get rid of stale energy, keep your head up, give up sadness and release any addictive behaviors (smoking, drinking...) 

  • MOVE

    • Walks, movement, gym, exercise daily -- sweat

  • VISUALIZE

    • Create new pathways

      • What can you do to create new pathways for your energy to flow? What do you want in life and why do you want it? Spend time making progress on vision and hold the visions, feel them. How does it feel to have xxxx in your life? Hold that. 

    • Create a vision board and keep it with you (phone background, paper...)

  • SEEK RESOLUTION (a firm decision to do or not to do something, peace of mind)

    • What movement can I make right now towards resolution? 

    • See guidelines for healing (attached)

  • SURROUND YOURSELF IN POSITIVITY

    • Only watch movies that are uplifting, music that is joyful, anything that you choose into your space, let it be positive. Don’t watch the news, don’t listen to negative podcasts, etc. 

    • When around negative vibes:

      • The heart opens like a flower meditation: Close your eyes, focus on breath, think of your flowers, focus on joy, think of how your flowers are blooming, ask for guidance, make space for love and light 

(repeat these a few times per day)

As I speak now, you are no longer a problem for me. 

Your difficult energy dissolves into wisdom

GUIDELINES FOR HEALING

When healing, discipline is key. Make discipline enjoyable for yourself. 

If energy is stuck, move it physically. Move off the couch, move your arms in the air… whatever you have to do, move it. Get up and walk, jump, get creative :) 

Create boundaries for sadness to be released. If you cry, set a time for crying (max 10 minutes, for example)


Keep asking: “what is inside of this? What color is it? What fear is popping up? On a multisensory level, what is happening? What does it feel like?” -- overall, don’t be afraid to dive into the root of the pain, surround that root in joy and self-love, heal. 

Giving back is key -- find a way to volunteer doing something you love.
